Fruits of the Spirit Vs. Works of the Flesh

Psalms 46:10 – Be still, and know that I [am] God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

1Kings 19: 11 & 12 – And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

Isaiah 30:21 – And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Zechariah 3:6 – Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Galations 5:14, 15 & 16 – For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Fruits of the Spirit:

Galations 5: 22 – 25 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Works of the Flesh:

Galations 5:19, 20 & 21 – Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Enmity: the state or feeling of being actively opposed or hostile to someone or something…

Variance: of uncertain affinity; a quarrel, i.e. (by implication) wrangling: — contention, debate, strife, variance.

Emulations: dzay’-los; from (2204) (?e?); properly heat, i.e. (figurative) “zeal” (in a favorable sense, ardor; in an unfavorable one, jealousy, as of a husband [figurative of God], or an enemy, malice): — emulation, envy (-ing), fervent mind, indignation, jealousy, zeal.

Comes from 2204: dzeh’-o; a primary verb; to be hot (boil, of liquids; or glow, of solids), i.e. (figurative) be fervid (earnest): — be fervent.

Used of boiling anger, love, zeal, for what is good or bad etc.

Wrath: — thoo-mos’; from (2380)  passion (as if breathing hard): — fierceness, indignation, wrath.

1. passion, angry, heat, anger forthwith boiling up and soon subsiding again

Strife: — er-ith-i’-ah; perhaps from the same as (2042)  properly intrigue, i.e. (by implication) faction: — contention (-ious), strife.

Sedition: dee-khos-tas-ee’-ah; from a derivative of (1364)  and (4714); disunion, i.e. (figurative) dissension: — division, sedition.

Heresies: dissensions arising from diversity of opinions and aims

Col. 3:8, 9 & 10 – But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; Put on the New Man And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
