Rest In Peace My Friend

With the loss of a true friend
beloved husband
and honored father our world
grows a bit colder
the path upon which our foot
steps still walk
becomes lonely all the darker
yet by faith our
eyes look to the end of time
when he will come
forth called by the voice of his
chosen Redeemer
loved ones will once again be
reunited – their
faith rewarded with immortality

Human Destruction

Upon the face of mother earth
like ants
human beings scurry back and
forth endlessly
about the fragile body of mother earth
like roaches
they defile her curves with each
and every touch
poison her bloodstream – rivers
– lakes and oceans
with toxic chemicals – construct
monuments to
their never-ending greed and hubris
mutilate the lovely
face of good ole mother earth

Revelation 11:18 KJV:

And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

God’s Flashlight

The pathway my feet

May be oh so dark and

Darkness is dispelled

The flashlight of God’s

My mind may be anxious

By His

Promises my worries are

The clouds of gloom

A star of

Hope shines from His

Psalm 119:105 KJV:

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Learning Patience

In spite of all the pain my heart
has suffered
shrouded in dark clouds and rain
still my life
has been a good one better than
it could have
otherwise been overflowing with
happiness from
time to time in-between the days
of gloom and
nights of near unbearable terror
yet my heart
has no cause to bemoan and wail
as it patiently
awaits of what is to be my destiny

Here One Minute Gone the Next

Life is fragile
like a breath of air one is here
one minute only
to be gone the next for tomorrow
is not promised

Best to live
life to its fullest each and every
day to the
best of one’s ability instead of
dilly dallying

Savor the moment
of victory – enjoy the good times
strive to be
patient in each and every crisis
take time to

Smell the roses
notice the beauty that surrounds us
during the light
of day for to one and all night falls
sooner or later

Death = The Absence of Life

Is simply the absence of self

The cessation of life in our

Our physical brain is no longer

Able to

Generate or hold an electrical

Thoughts cease to exist –

The breath of life that

Our Bodies

Is not an immortal soul

Returns to

God from whom it was

1 Timothy 6:13-16 KJVS

I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

Genesis 2:7 NASBS

Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

Psalm 146:3-4 KJVS

Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.

Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 KJVS

UFor the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.
