Hanging On For Dear Life

Life is bittersweet the reality
never seems
to quite measure up to one’s
chosen fantasy
often leading to unreasonable
expectations far
more often then to happiness
all one can
do is to hang on tight during
the frequent
storms in order to prevent being
blown away
becoming overwhelmed by the
clouds of despair
until the sun comes back out

Here One Minute Gone the Next

Life is fragile
like a breath of air one is here
one minute only
to be gone the next for tomorrow
is not promised

Best to live
life to its fullest each and every
day to the
best of one’s ability instead of
dilly dallying

Savor the moment
of victory – enjoy the good times
strive to be
patient in each and every crisis
take time to

Smell the roses
notice the beauty that surrounds us
during the light
of day for to one and all night falls
sooner or later

Death = The Absence of Life

Death

Is simply the absence of self

Awareness

The cessation of life in our

Bodies

When

Our physical brain is no longer

Able to

Generate or hold an electrical

Charge

Our

Thoughts cease to exist –

Perish

The breath of life that

Animates

Our Bodies

Is not an immortal soul

Returns to

God from whom it was

borrowed

1 Timothy 6:13-16 KJVS

I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

Genesis 2:7 NASBS

Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

Psalm 146:3-4 KJVS

Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.

Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 KJVS

UFor the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

My Adversaries Fate

Dealing
With an emotional rapist
A bully
Isn’t easy but by the grace
Of God

My
Heart will overcome
In
The end he will be
Lost

Forever
Condemned by his own actions
Dammed
He will come up in the second
Resurrection

Utterly
Consumed my adversary will
Become
A pile of ashes doomed to be
Forgotten

To
Be held in contempt by
The
Righteous throughout
Eternity

The Valley of Decision

Between
A rock and a hard place
The valley
Of decision lies my heart
And mind

To the
Right or to the left
Tis the
Question my heart
Faces

To live
A life of sinful pleasure
No hope of
A future life beyond the
Grave

Or to
Be covered with the white
Robe
Promised to those who over
Come

Revelation 3:5 WEB – World English Bible

He who overcomes will be arrayed in white garments, and I will in no way blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

The True Christmas Spirit

From afar three wise men came
to worship the little babe
who within the cattle manger lay
Creator and Savior of all mankind

Their gifts to Him they brought
gold, frankincense and myrrh
while before Him they humbly bowed
in adoration and heart felt love

This Christmas season lets all remember
in all our giving and receiving
the example of the wise men three
then bring our gifts to Jesus our Savior

Though Jesus upon this earth no longer abides
from His throne in Heaven above He watches
to see how others we treat whether good or ill
the blessings we share with those less fortunate

For when He walked upon this earth far below
though He was far richer then us all
the wealth His Father gave him He freely shared
meeting the needs of all who asked for mercy

The words of kindness that He taught
He lived for all to see as our example
now the gifts He has loaned to us we don’t deserve
yet He kindly asks us to do His bidding

“Give freely to others as ye have received of Me!”
